New Semester

Okay, I am such a slacker I have not blogged about our New Years Eve night or anything... UGH... slacker. However, its two weeks into the new year... so I will do a quick, very quick recap. Basically, we went to dinner with some friends from the Ward at Flatbranch... DELICIOUS! We then went to First night down time.... LAMO! So we went back to their house had hot chocolate and hung out!

Now for the new news. I started classes this week! That's right a FULL WEEK before Aaron starts. :(! Let me tell you this semester is going to be AWFUL! I am taking 12 hours, which doesn't sound that bad but when I describe the classes to you... you will understand!

1. Working-Class American Literature with Dr. Mettling. First, its with Mettling... which means LOTS of reading and LOTS of papers with hard grading! This also means very demanding mid-terms and finals.... I will be writing for 2 hours straight for these. Not that bad of a class, on its own that is.
2. Senior Seminar with Dr. Mettling. This is my capstone! (This is where you start celebrating in my honor!) This consists of a 25 page IN DEPTH analysis of a work/author of my choice. This also has be be research based with at least 20 Annotated Sources. YIKES! I know I will earn the grade I get in this class.
3. Digital Photography with Dr. Edwards Collings. So, I thought this would be a fun class for me to take to get use to my camera. However, after sitting in this class it is going to SUCK! Yes, I will learn how to use my camera and Photoshop which is GREAT but I don't really have time for all the work. I also meet for 6 hours a week in this class. YIKES! The professor is also CRAZY! He stops mid sentence and goes to a different topic, very hard to follow and I have NO IDEA what he is talking about most of the time.
4. Technical Writing with Crystal Buffaloe. Can you say young teacher who is preggos for the first time?! Which means trying to be a hard butt with hormones mixed in! This is so much work. The final project is a 15 page technical writing of our choice. (Who has time for that?) She assigns LOTS of busy work, which I also DO not have time to do.

So, why am I describing each class to you?! So you can get a glimpse of the Hell my life will be for the next 16 weeks. You probably won't be seeing much of me. Sorry.... But Aaron is suppose to have an easy semester... you can see him if you wish!!!

Like everyone else we went to the magic tree too!! SOO pretty!
