That's right I took a practice LSAT---Long Stinking Awful Test--- for those of you who do not know, the LSAT is the test to get into law schools. Well... since Aaron and I made a deal (I would take the LSAT and he would walk at graduation... with NO COMPLAINTS!) I decided I better fulfill my end of the deal. Well, actually I only fulfilled half of my end. Kaplan University offered a FREE practice test of the LSAT this morning. Basically, you go and take a version of the LSAT for free and they score it and tell you what you will most likely get on the actual LSAT. And the results were..... DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... a 151. Now, I understand that most of you don't know what that means, its just a number for you. So, let me explain. The LSAT is scored from a 120- 180. A 150 is average at 50% of people doing better than that and 50% of people doing worse. So, that means me--who went in with absolutely NO studying did better than about 50% of people--not too bad in my opinion. So, what does this mean, you may ask. Well, thats the part I am not sure about. I can take the test for real in June, study my butt of between now and then and hope I get a 160 or above to become competitive for law school or I can wait and take a year off and study my butt off and take it. Or, I can scrap the idea of taking it and forfeit the idea of law school all together. There are pros and cons for both and honestly, right now I have NO idea what I want to do. I've always liked the idea of law school and I still do but I also know it will take a LOT of money and a LOT of effort on my part, which I don't know if I am ready to contribute right now. I also know that having a family and attending law school is a pretty hefty goal, so that will have to be evaluated as well. On the other hand however, I know that I am smart enough to do it and I know I could be successful if that is what I choose. So... the ball is in my court... what should I do?? AHHHH too many choices! Good thing I have a very supportive husband that I know will stand behind me no matter what, and I also have supportive friends and family! Thank goodness for that!
On a lighter note however, I had a fabulous birthday! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Tonight will be my final celebration.. Aaron and I are going to go play BINGO with Grandma Margie and Papa Davis... we are super excited and hoping we "win big!" Wish us luck!
