Okay, so I seem to have freaked a couple people out with my last blog post. Let me start by saying we are fine…. I did have lack of sleep when I was writing the previous post. (I admit that it my fault however, I stayed up until 1 am finishing a crappy book.)
Okay so let me address each bullet point separately.
Okay so let me address each bullet point separately.
1. Mar got a promotion.
Yep you read that right! I got a promotion. Remember a couple months ago Aaron and I applied for the same promotion, he got it and I didn’t? Well, back in February, (right in the middle of our fertility treatments) more positions posted and I was told by my manager to apply again. So, I did and of course I interviewed on the first day I went in for ultrasounds at the Dr’s… nothing like being a little stressed. However, it must have worked b/c my interview went great. I had a panel interview with 4 managers and did great, had them all laughing. I found out two weeks later that I got the job! J I started training two weeks ago and have two more weeks to go. It’s been good and so far I have passed all my tests so I am not getting fired (you have to pass your tests with 70% or higher, you get two chances and if you don’t pass you are fired.)
B. Invitro didn’t work.
Yes you read that right, unfortunately this round of invitro didn’t work. We are doing okay though; we aren’t upset (well too upset that is). Yes it’s hard to take and yes it is hard to know that all of that money went for nothing, but we also recognize that although we don’t necessarily understand we do know there is a plan and a reason why we have to go through this. We are trying to get our finances together to do another round and determine if we want to do a vacation to get away for a little while. So, although it sucks and is painful, we are doing okay.
III. We are having house issues and been cleaning/working like crazy.
Just let me say, this house is wonderful for us, the price in rent is great, it prepares us for owning our own home, we love the location, and the size is WONDERFUL ! However, let me also say this house is a pain in my BOOTY! This winter we started noticing mice droppings under our sink.. can you say GROSS! DE-SGUSTING! So, we have been fighting them, we’ve placed sticky pads and poison and have caught more than a few. (Let me also condition this by saying we are not DIRTY people! I keep our house clean and it is not because our house is dirty that we have mice)! It finally got to the point that I told Aaron if he didn’t get it taken care of that I would move back to Leeway… Yes, it was that bad! I would rather move back to the little hole in the wall than live there. So, being the fabulous hubby he is he called and exterminator and hopefully—fingers crossed—that will take care of the problem. So, then Saturday we were out on the back patio and we looked down and our legs were COVERED in fleas! It was very disturbing. So Aaron went crazy spraying bug killer and I got granules out and started spreading them all over the yard. We are hoping that solves the problems. Because if it doesn’t Mar will be moving somewhere FAR FAR away from this house.
Also, work has been crazy busy lately, we have been working overtime like crazy. I am hoping it slows down before too long so we can have sometime to ourselves at home. But all in all we are doing great and loving the OT pay we keep getting!
Also, this week we are going to see a comic at MU campus, Nick Offerman, for those of you who don’t know who this is, he playing Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec. WE LOVE Parks and Rec! We are super excited and are going with another couple from work that also like Parks and Rec. J SOO EXCITED!
