Yes this is late but at least late is better than none. Aaron and I have officially been married a year, on Monday. We decided to go to Omaha for an anniversary weekend. It was FABULOUS! We got there Saturday morning and went to the temple. If you haven't been to the Winter Quarters Temple I highly recommend you GO! It was gorgeous and had such a special feeling to it. After that we went for lunch at Billy Frogs. It was a little hole in the wall bar and grill that had GREAT burgers. After eating we went and checked into the hotel. That evening we went downtown and walked around at the art galleries. We saw some really neat art, and we even bought a piece. If was want to see come good art check out http://www.mangelsen.com/ This guy is awesome. He takes pictures of nature scenes and animals in the wild and he doesn't photoshop. There is some really awesome pictures on there. After that we ate downtown and then went back to the hotel. Sunday we woke up to 2 inches of snow and bitter cold temperatures. However, we really wanted to go to the Zoo... so we went. It was awesome. NO ONE was there, it was soo fun. The Zoo was really cool with an indoor desert, rain forest and a really cool aquarium. It was such a nice weekend. However, we did get a ticket on the way home from KC. Sunday evening we also went over to our Bishops for "cookies with the bishop." It was really fun, they invite all the new people in the ward to come over and have cookies so they get to know them. Monday was our actual anniversary and Aaron surprised me with flowers. We were going to go to McKenzies (an amazing steak and seafood restaurant) but they are closed on Mondays. So, we settled for Olive Garden. It was a great evening. I love my husband more than anything in the whole world. He is the very best!!
