New Blog

I had Margie add a new blog link on the side. It is called "Club Trillion" and is hilarious! I discovered it through a story on yahoo and immediately became a fan. The author and creator of "Club Trillion" is Mark Titus, a bench warmer for Ohio State's bball team. He started a blog of his antics at the end of the bench and how hard it is to actually become a member of "Club Trillion". If you are like me, you have absolutely no idea what this club is, so I will fill you in. When basketball stats appear in the box score, the stat that appears in the first column is minutes played, then the other columns are more significant stats (points, rebounds, steals, etc). To become a part of the club you must get just one minute of playing time with no significant stats during that minute, so the box score has a 1 in the first column, followed by a ton of zeros, or as this guy likes to call it, a trillion.

The guy has even been on Bill Simmon's ESPN Podcast twice to talk about this blog. I read the most recent post which talks about how he was asked by the NBA to withdraw his name (that is what is linked to the yahoo story) and I also read what he called "everyone's favorite post" which I laughed hysterically outloud numerous times. If you don't like to follow links, at least follow the last one and read how he got part of the team trapped in the elevator.
